Rajka Kupesic School of Classical Ballet opened in 1993 with the goal of providing an enriched program to train and educate students in many facets of Classical Ballet. Classes are taught in accordance with the Vaganova teaching method. Through the process, students develop style, graceful movement and professional presentation. In addition, students develop discipline, ability to focus, coordination, poise and confidence. The number of students in each class is limited to ensure personal attention and quality of instruction which are essential in the development of a young dancer.

In order to assess student progress, graded classical ballet syllabus exams are offered with the Society of Russian Ballet. Since ballet is a performing art, we consider performances to be an important part of our students training. All students participate in the annual Spring Recital and our more advanced students have additional performance opportunities through auditions for competitive groups and the “Rajka Kupesic Ballet Company”.

Classes are held in modern air-conditioned studios with professionally installed sprung floors.

The School is located in close proximity to Highways 401, 403, and Highway 10 (Hurontario St.), and is easily accessible with ample free parking.
